My strengths/skills/superpower: Multitasking and completing tasks perfectly when I really enjoy them. I absolutely love start-up environments where I can really leverage on this and with my own baby-start up, I have the ideal playing field for nourishing my perfectionism.

How do your strengths play into the work you do? When I say multitasking I really mean it. I am doing all sorts of activities at the moment - sales, marketing support, HR and recruitment, legal and even admin duties. People tell me that they feel comfortable coming to me with all sorts of things and they find the answers they were looking for, but most importantly things will be done. Perfectly I hope haha

Imagine your best hospitality / hotel experience – what does it look like? I absolutely adore colonial boutique hotels with their own little touches and attentions to detail, which has a mark of its employees and a culture it belongs to. When I receive an unforgettable experience from arrival to returning home again, and I am left with a sense of homesickness and a longing to go back to their hotel! When the staff understand why I came to them in the first place (is it a special occasion or a gateway? Is it my first experience with them and with their property?) and acknowledges it. Wine lounges with an indulgent cheese trolley would make me happy and a customised breakfast in the morning will make me come back in a heartbeat. The place with its own story told in every detail - that’s what makes me truly love my experience.  What brings you the greatest joy at work? Varied amounts of tasks and projects and an ability to be free in my own way and movements. I need to feel that my crazy ideas and fantasies could find their way and be implemented, and if they are not successful we don’t brood over anything but just keep going. A strong and supportive culture where everyone is willing to contribute ideas, experience and solutions. The idea of becoming not only a good, but a great company drives me to keep going.

My advice for women in hospitality and travel-tech: It is always better to try and fail, learn from your mistakes, then try again and succeed.  If you think you have a good idea - just go for it and implement it. You may only have one supporter in the beginning (and it could be just you), but if you are passionate and believe in what you do, you will rally the support of others around you. Every idea will find its audience, just focus and keep to it!
